Snow-riding
The weekend’s blizzard conditions left plenty of reserves of snow in area ditches and fields. For many, like this snowmobiler, that meant a chance to bundle up and go for a frosty ride.
For the dogs
The recent subzero temperatures brought a common phenomenon, sundogs. According to the National Weather Service, sundogs form when light is bent, or changes direction as it shines through ice cyrstals in the atmopshere. The bending, or refraction, shifts light so that it goes from red nearer the sun to blue on the outside of the sundogs.
