Landon Beresford

Landon Lee Beresford, beloved son of Andrew and Cora Beresford of Northwood, passed away early on the morning of August 24, 2019, at his home.
Landon was born on June 6, 2008, in Mason City to Andrew Beresford and Danielle Colby. Landon suffered severe brain damage at birth resulting in cerebral palsy.
Landon’s favorite place to be was on a boat, which he was able to enjoy many times during family trips to the cabin and Okoboji. He also enjoyed listening to his radio in his room or sitting in his favorite chair surrounded by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters Lillian, Sophia and Courtney; and one brother, Beau; grandparents; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Jerry Colby and an uncle Spc. Dustin Colby.
Funeral services were held at United Methodist Church in Northwood on Friday, August 30, 2019, with burial following at Sunset Rest Cemetery.
The family extend special appreciation to Officer Knudson, all of the first responders and Mitchell Schroeder of Schroeder & Sites, along with all of the doctors and caregivers who helped throughout the years with Landon’s care.
