A correction and an apology

Last week was one that brought much discussion at the Northwood Anchor, centered on a paragraph on the sports page.
The Stat of the Week mentioned a disparity in wrestling statistics. It’s a difference between how official and other sources count records.
While the intent was to give the athletes credit for their milestones, it was phrased in a way that was harsh and insulting to their coaches.
We regret and apologize for the insinuation that N-K coaches don’t acknowledge or celebrate the athletes’ successes. The coaches are focused on the season on hand, but they do celebrate the student achievements and we in turn enjoy sharing those events with the athletes and their coaches when they happen. We’re sorry that was put into question last week.
