N-K’s cross country star Lindsey Davidson continued her pursuit of the state's top runners with a second place finish at last Monday’s Garner-Hayfield-Ventura CC Invitational in Garner. Davidson started this season with a third place finish at Mercy but since that day the talented senior has earned a second and three first place medals, including last week when she ran her season best of 20:13. Davidson finished less than a second behind first-place finisher Abby Christians of G-H-V in last Monday’s meet.

N-K’s Gideon Rollene had one of the best games of his career in last Friday night’s 41-30 Homecoming win over Riceville. Despite being double teamed from his defensive end position Rollene managed to collect two solo tackles and 14 assisted tackles. Lady Viking Clara Davidson had a perfect night at the service line in last Tuesday night’s 3-2 (26-28, 25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 15-13) win over Newman Catholic. The talented senior went 16-16 at the line and added six kills and 13 digs. Davidson is now in the top five on the team in numerous catogories, including third in kills (37), second in digs (56), third in aces (11) and fourth in serving percentage (.886).
