Deer trio
These three deer were spotted lounging at the Sunset Rest Cemetery last week. The young deer stared at the walking passerby, but did not run as he passed.

Seamless work
The Northwood public works crew spent some time last week filling in and repairing cracks and damage to the roads in and around the Sunset Rest Cemetery, as pictured above.

Curb appeal
The yard of Denny and Vicki Mayes at 200 12th St. S. in Northwood was chosen for it’s overall appeal of plantings and the red, white and blue color scheme used through out.  The window boxes overflowing with red dahlias and borders are kept lush with irrigation.  Hibiscus and hydrangeas are in full bloom on south side of the house and visible from Second Ave. is the back yard with a fountain featuring red zinnias at the base.
