A congressional visit

The Thompsons talked about the process of building the center, and their experience working with the state agencies and guidelines to qualify for state funding. They also talked about issues like staffing difficulties, the impacts of inflation on their business and other complications that they have had in opening the daycare center.
More from Kensett’s 150th
Kensett celebrated 150 years with a weekend of activities recently. The Anchor has received some additional pictures of the sesquicentennial events. Pat Jaspers shared two parade pictures. Pictured at top right is Carl “Bones” Jaspers Jr., one of the Kensett 150th parade’s grand marshals. Pictured at bottom right is the Northwood-Kensett class of 1977 watching the parade. Lisa Lestrud sent the picture below of Judy Larson, who served on the Kensett 150th planning committee. Larson thought it would be fun to dress up as a pioneer woman for the 150th.
