Andersons’ home has Curb Appeal
This month’s Curb Appeal award that was selected by the Green Thumb Garden Club has been given to Pam and Don Anderson on North Second Ave. A well manicured lawn is dotted with pops of color around the house, by the back deck and even around the sign.
A new home for Knudtson Automotive
Many may have driven by the north location of Knudtson Automotive in Northwood, and noticed a big new addition to the property. The new building is designed to expand the business' semi and trailer services, diesel services and its automotive, ag and tire services as well. The building will eventually be the main location for the business. The building that used to be the location for A&I Auto will remain in place for auto body services.
Having fun discovering nature
Fun with Worth County Conservation continued recently with Nature Discovery Camp. The campers took part in a variety of outdoor activities. The group made boats and fossils, did a pond study, played games and swam in the lake.
Getting a new sign
Last week, in the midst of some arriving rains, Casey's in Northwood received a new logo and sign.
Worth County 4-H Livestock Team Champions at the 2024 North Iowa Fair
The Worth County 4-H were named champions at the North Iowa Fair Livestock Judging Contest on Friday, July 19. Team members pictured (from left to right) Layla Scarlett, coach, Chris Chodur, Ayden Woodside, Henry Hanson, Jaxon Arthur (in front) Caysen Chodur, Lloyd Heggestad and coach, Dennis Johnson, Worth County Extension Education Specialist. Hanson was reserve champion judge overall with Heggestad finishing in third, Scarlett competing for fourth place and Woodside in sixth. Caysen Chodur was the third place overall judge in the Senior Division.
