Farm to desk learning
Northwoood-Kensett classrooms were visited recently by some agricultural educators. Visitors with the Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program visited elementary classrooms to talk about and host activities that provided lessons about life on the farm, things grown on farms, livestock and things that can be made with farm products. At the middle school, the students were given items and then tasked with trading them, an activity to teach them about imports and exports.
Lingering lights
For several weeks, the holiday spirit has been shared brightly with some beautiful lighting displays like the one pictured here. Based on generally accepted holiday lighting etiquette, most lights should still be visible until up to a few days past the start of the new year. Of course, most would forgive those that extend the chance to enjoy the holiday spirit.
